Yes — hypnotherapy is a safe, gentle and evidence-based therapeutic approach when delivered by a qualified practitioner.
You remain aware and in control throughout the session and cannot be made to do or say anything against your will. Many clients describe the experience as deeply relaxing and calming.

This is one of the most common misconceptions about hypnosis. You remain conscious, aware and in control the entire time.
Hypnosis is a natural state of focused relaxation, similar to becoming deeply absorbed in a book, movie or daydream.
