Frequently Asked Questions
Understanding Hypnotherapy
What is hypnotherapy?
In this space, we work with the subconscious mind - the part of us where many habits, emotional responses, beliefs and patterns are held.
It can be a powerful way to create positive change when you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed or ready to move forward.
How does hypnotherapy work?
In this calm state, the mind becomes more open to positive suggestions, reframing and healing work, helping shift patterns that may no longer be serving you.
Is hypnotherapy safe?
Will I lose control during hypnosis?
Will I still be in control during hypnosis?
Yes, absolutely. You remain fully aware, safe and in control throughout the session. Hypnosis is a deeply relaxed and focused state, similar to daydreaming or meditation. You cannot be made to do or say anything that doesn’t feel right for you.
What does hypnosis feel like?
Hypnosis is usually experienced as a deeply relaxed and focused state, similar to
meditation, daydreaming, or that calm feeling just before sleep.
Some clients experience a deeper trance-like relaxation, while for others it may feel
lighter and more similar to quiet mental stillness. Both experiences are completely
normal.
Throughout the session, you remain aware, safe, and in control.

Online Hypnotherapy Sessions
Do you offer online sessions?
The experience is still deeply personalised and supportive, with the same gentle guidance and care as an in-person session. Wherever you are in the world, Katarina can work with you online to help you feel calmer, more confident and supported on your journey.
Are online sessions as effective?
Because hypnotherapy is based on relaxation, focus and guided therapeutic support, it translates beautifully into an online setting. In fact, many people find they are able to relax even more deeply when they are in the comfort and familiarity of their own home.
The same gentle, personalised and supportive process is followed, with each session tailored to your individual needs, goals and pace.
What do I need for an online session?
Many clients like to have a blanket, water and headphones nearby to help create a calm and nurturing environment. Before your session, we recommend allowing yourself a few quiet minutes to settle in so you can get the most from the experience.
